a pox on you, drywall!
Monday, March 20th, 2006Drywalling is for the birds. I have barely procrastinated on this particular stage and i am still WAY behind. It looks like i’ll be doing the final sand on wednesday morning. It couldn’t get much more last minute than that. I just don’t have the energy to do mudding for more than 3 hours at a time, and for some crazy reason, 3 hours does not produce a whole lot of results. Although, i discovered tonight after opening a new vat of mud, that the mud’s consistency has a whole lot to do with the coverage per hour. The stuff i had been working with for the past week had been much, much drier, and thus a little harder to work with, though at the time i thought it was fine. The new stuff is like butter, which spreads on very fast and stays damp a little longer, which are both good things. Tomorrow morning will be a sanding, then there are still a few corners and edges to do. tomorrow night will be various sands and touch ups, which wednesday morning being the final sand. I was going to be good and have a glass of water before bed but i broke down and cracked open a beer. sigh.
