Murder in Orillia! There was an incident last night, ~3am or so, a block from the office. The pigs were out this morning, conducting an investigation. With lots of small yellow evidence markers around, i figured someone had been gunned down, but it turns out it may have just been a punch-up. Lots of people saying “look at what drugs are doing!”. Wow, that’s a leap to conclusions.

Things are going well at work — what i mean is, i am enjoying being at the office and i feel like i am getting a lot done. It is definitely different than being at the Nanaimo ‘office’. I think the ideal situation would be to work a month here then a month there, and so on; however, that would probably be a little unmanagable. Maybe 2 weeks here for every 8 weeks there? 3 weeks here for every 3 months there? Going back and forth would definitely keep things exciting; working in the same box all the time can be very disheartening. Maybe if we don’t move out here we could at least have a cottage or something nearby where i/we can stay. Depending on where it is i’d need transportation too, but something cheap… and i don’t really feel like commuting by moped. hmm.

The Mr.Sub. here is run by some middle-eastern guys. The other day one of them asked me where i was from — he said with my accent i sounded Ukranian. Wtf? My idea that maybe we want to move back to Ontario has been tempered a little. We drove around in the Brechin/Sebright area looking to see what sort of property was out there. It’s definitely nice out there, but obviously there’s a lot more to consider than that (commuting time, schools, internet access). We’re definitely still on the fence about it. Probably will be for a while.
