The coffee is very good at the TH’s here. They put more cream cheese on your bagel. They seem happy to see you. I will have to visit more Ontario locations to see if this is a trend.

Climbing: was silly last night and started with the 5.11. Was not warmed up enough and cramped right away. On thursday i’ll definitely hit a 5.9 or something to get the blood pumping before attempting the milestone climb. Computers: currently trying to get newzeno online; i hope the latest kernel update supports power management AND scsi. Cursing: major computer annoyances today, all day trying to track down the same problem. Frustration. Need beer.

Devilled eggs for breakfast. Few carbs is a good thing: i need to cut back to help stem the tide of type II diabaetes (which will no doubt hit me in my 50s, like all the men on my dad’s side of the family). Now, eggs are not a significant source of dietary cholesterol, so that is also good. however, i wonder how all this trades off against the trans fat in the ‘english salad cream’ (used in place of mayonnaise, blech). I try to keep my trans intake to a bare minimum, but i wonder if i’m doing enough. A needle stick could tell me, but i sure hate bloodlettings.

updating while i wait for some files to copy over the VPN. when that’s done i can shut down and go to bed. i like this project that i’m working on, but man, it sure sucks a lot of time. mind you, a lot of that is testing, but still, the computer was able to understand the blocks of code i am envisioning and type them for me. typing takes so long… it is like reading. ok. time to flee.

Feverishly working at a couple of 5.11a’s. They are really proving to be tough. There is also a 5.10c that is not yet complete. As my very own ‘Calgary Chris’ (haha!) said, 5.11 is a big hurdle. One 11a seems to be defeating me with my lack of flexibility — time for some yoga? The other is due to small holds and my grip stamina, as is the 10c. I am not disappointed; i do things slow and methodically, and each time i make it a little bit farther. I feel like thursday could be the night for a hattrick, but hey, even one would be good.
