Nostalgia

Tuesday, June 28th, 2005

I miss Ontario a lot more than i thought i ever would. I have good friends out there, and i would have to say the best four years of my life were spent there. I had it made, i even said to Jo on occasion that i was so happy, and couldn’t imagine needing to be happier. I like BC, and we have some awesome friends here, but something about this place gets me down. Who knows what it could be — maybe just all the stuff that’s been happening recently.. and everything will get back to ‘normal’ soon. ;)

Car Preferences

There are two things i really like: driving, and quietness. The Lexus fulfilled both criteria; it handled and accellerated well, and was a very smooth and quiet ride. We “traded-up” for a Pathfinder, but ever since I have felt like it was a “trade-down”. Every day i drive it, i like it less and less. I was spoiled before, and i got used to a standard that this latest vehicle won’t ever meet. Yes, all my gripes are niggly little things that are probably insignificant to most people, but that’s how I am. Blah.

Roosevelt Quote

This is a great quote: “To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.” — Theodore Roosevelt (1918)
