“Louise Russo glanced to her right as a detective was holding up a high-powered assault rifle — the same type of weapon that was fired at her in a shooting that condemned her to life in a wheelchair.”Toronto Star

woman looking at gun Seems to me that a detective should know that one of the primary rules of firearm safety is that you should never point a gun at anyone, whether you think it’s loaded or not! Although.. with the way police like to shoot and kill innocent people on a whim, i guess that’s just expecting way too much.

Documentary

I forgot to mention - i saw Fahrenheit 9/11 the other day. I found out that in the US it is rated ‘R’. WTF? It is a documentary! It is real life! There should be no restriction on who can see it. Fortunately here in BC, it is rated 14A (children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult). The movie is very very biased and anti bush. However, it does provide some very shocking information that seems to be true. If you haven’t yet, go see it.

Well, it’s that time again. The time in the cycle where i start to think about hosting a radio show. I was flicking channels in the car tonight and came across the local community radio station (CHLY), and that pretty much replanted the vile seed. There are many projects on the go at the moment so i’m sure it will pass quickly. But on day, one day i’ll be on the air. Maybe.

Kevin recently blogged about his short trip to Mackinac island. I was curious to know where this place was, so visited their website. They had a great map that shows how to get there by car. The odd thing is that it shows I-69 somehow magically winding its way through central Ontario.
