Sucked In.

Thursday, November 27th, 2003

I can’t believe it - i’ve been sucked in to this whole Survivor thing. It’s horrible. Last night I actually sat down in front of the TV with some feelings of..anticipation! It’s like when I somehow got hooked on ‘Days of our Lives’ back in the early nineties… which I also cannot explain. For 4 or 5 years, or however long Survivor has been running, I’ve been disinterested, and have avoided spending much time in front of the TV while it was on. Something must be different about this season, because i think i may be genuinely interested in seeing how the game pans out. Perhaps CBS is doing some subliminal messaging on letterman or something?

timely update.

I haven’t updated in a while. And surprisingly a lot has happened since october 23! Deli came out to visit at the end of October, which marked the beginning of my blog neglect. We took him to do BC/touristy stuff, including sightseeing in Vancouver for a weekend, and a trip partway up-island to see the big trees at Cathedral Grove, and the salmon run at Stamp Falls. Deli was here for a week, departing on Nov 01. 2 Days later i flew to Vegas, for a a 2 day ‘install’, which basically meant that we stood around doing nothing for 12 hours, then went out and drank beer all evening. Fun. Since I came back, i’ve worked on the house renovations, including finishing installing the laminate floor in one of our bedrooms. Only some trimwork remains and the room will be complete! Then, this past weekend, a bunch of us jammed (guitar) all saturday and then we headed out to discover what Nanaimo’s club scene is like by visiting the Press Room NightClub. (Turns out it was not half bad!) It’s been a fun 3 weeks.
